The Indian News papers continuously denigrate Schedule caste by dragging their name of caste un necessarily without any reason. the News Media  never bother that this will hurt the sentiment of Schedule caste despite our protest on many times. Our view is that the Indian electronic and newspaper media are caste ridden is again  proved by their latest publishing of caste name.
Not only the news media it is election time now the politician will talk like that they never consider any party  is untouchable for alliance ,already politician like Subramania samy a sanathan already called the LTTE leader Prabhakaran as ‘International Pariah’

In cinema one of the caste Hindu actor Vadivelu using the name ‘Chandala’ in a denigrate manner on many films , recently the Times of India in its news Item called the union Minister Jairam Ramesh as 'Pariah' . The continuous onslaught on Schedule caste by caste Hindus  shows the dalits are non reactive and the news media and caste ridden societies are arrogant???

Goldman no 'pariah' after BoE project

The Bank of Eng land's appointment of Goldman Sachs Group Senior European Economist Ben Broadbent to its Monetary Policy Committee shows governments are again looking to the firm for top decision makers, less than a year after it settled US fraud claims.

Broadbent, who has worked at Goldman Sachs since 2000, will replace Andrew Sentance at the end of May , the Treasury in London said on Monday .He joins a panel that has split four ways on policy for the first time since the central bank's independence in 1997.

Opposition parties last year pressed UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown to suspend Goldman Sachs from government work after the Securities and Exchange Commission sued the New York-based company in April. Brown said at the time he was shocked by the "moral bankruptcy" described in the complaint.

The dictionary meaing of the word pariah is as follows.

[Tamil pa aiyar, pl. of pa aiyan, pariah caste, from pa ai, festival drum.]

Word History: The word pariah, which can be used for anyone who is a social outcast, independent of social position, recalls a much more rigid social system, which made only certain people pariahs. The caste system of India placed pariahs, also known as Untouchables, very low in society. The word pariah, which we have extended in meaning, came into English from Tamil pa aiyar, the plural of pa aiyan, the caste name, which literally means "(hereditary) drummer" and comes from the word pa ai, the name of a drum used at certain festivals. The word is first recorded in English in 1613. Its use in English and its extension in meaning probably owe much to the long period of British rule in India.
